Glass tiles offer your floors or walls all the benefits of glass: nonporous, easy to clean, and impervious to water. Color is typically applied to the back of the tile and seen through the glass body, giving tiles a translucence that you cannot obtain with other materials. This translucence does pose some installation challenges, as any mistakes made will be visible through the tile, but the overall aesthetic is worth the difficulty.
